  Chantel L. Fitting

  Chantel Fitting graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelors of Arts degree. She continued her education at Hastings College of the Law where she received a Juris Doctorate degree in 1999. Chantel has been a litigation attorney for over fifteen years with a specialty in bodily injury cases. She is recognized as an expert in evaluating serious medical injuries related to catastrophic claims such as brain and spine injuries and presenting that evidence to the jury. Ms. Fitting has a remarkable record of successful jury trials in which her clients have recovered millions of dollars for their injuries. Ms. Fitting recently tried a case before a San Mateo jury in which the insurance company offered $20,000.00 and the jury awarded $974,628.00 to her clients. More recently, a jury rendered a verdict of $500,000.00 to her client when the insurance company offered only $100,000.00. She fights for her clients and is not deterred by the unreasonable conduct of large insurance companies. Ms. Fitting’s success and expertise are recognized by her peers. She is a frequent speaker at legal seminars on recent developments and trends in the law and trial techniques that are essential to achieving favorable outcomes for the clients. Chantel is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, and serves on the Board of Directors, and was former President for the San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association.   John N. Frye

  Mr. Frye graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California Davis in 1966 and received his Juris Doctorate from Hastings College of the Law in 1969. He has been a litigation attorney for more than 40 years and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California. A significant aspect of Mr. Frye’s practice is the handling of claims against insurance companies. Mr. Frye has achieved the highest ranking (AV) for professional ability and ethics by Martindale Hubbell. He has extensive experience as a trial attorney in state and federal courts in California. While Mr. Frye specializes in personal injury, professional liability, and insurance bad faith, his jury trial experience also includes employment discrimination and real estate fraud. He is respected throughout the legal community as a skilled litigator who will aggressively represent his clients. He recently obtained a settlement for his client of more than $10 million after two days of tough negotiations with an insurance company. He will not back down.   Ilya D. Frangos

  Mr. Ilya Frangos is a Partner with Galine, Frye, Fitting & Frangos and has served as lead trial counsel litigating cases in both state and federal court in the State of California. Mr. Frangos regularly represents clients whose lives have been forever changed because they have suffered serious, life changing, and catastrophic injuries as a result of another person’s or entities’ negligence in cases involving automobile collisions, industrial incidents from failures to follow proper safety guidelines and procedures, and premises liability cases. Mr. Frangos also practices in the area of professional malpractice, where he holds professionals responsible for their failure to meet the standard of care as professionals in the industry, protecting insureds when their insurance companies wrongfully deny insurance benefits in bad faith insurance cases, and business litigation cases. Mr. Frangos has successfully tried cases to verdict, obtained multiple six to seven figure settlements, judgments, and arbitration awards, and has argued before the First District Court of Appeal. Mr. Frangos’ work ethic and reputation have also been recognized by his peers in the legal community. He previously served as the President of the San Mateo County Trial Lawyers’ Association (2016-2017 Term) and remains an active member of their Board of Directors, is a member of the At Large Board of Governors for the Consumer Attorneys of California, serves as co-founder/Treasurer for the Veteran Lawyers of San Mateo County, and is a past member of the Hellenic Law Society. Mr. Frangos is frequently asked to speak at seminars for his colleagues on relevant legal issues. In addition, every year since 2013, Ilya has been nominated by his colleagues as a Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star, an honor reserved for only 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state. From 2010-2015, Mr. Frangos also served as a JAG Captain in the California State Military Reserve. His duties involved serving as legal counsel to National Guard soldiers regarding domestic legal matters prior to and following their deployment, and other matters related to military law. In addition to representing his clients, Mr. Frangos is also involved in his local community and dedicates his time to philanthropic endeavors. He and his firm regularly donate their time to local charities such as the Samaritan House, a local non-profit dedicated to providing services and resources to low-income and homeless residents in need, supports the local county bar association by serving as part of their Lawyer Referral Program, where county residents can pay a nominal fee to receive advice and counsel from an attorney, and his firm thrives on pro bono clients in need who have nowhere else to turn. His belief is that by working in the community, his firm has a responsibility to help those in need who cannot help themselves. Lastly, he has served as a mentor for his alma mater Woodside High School in their Business Academy Mentoring program mentoring high school students, and routinely lectures at local colleges in the areas of Business Law, Torts, and Legal Writing and Research. Mr. Frangos received his Juris Doctorate Degree from UC Hastings College of the Law with an emphasis in Criminal Law and received his Bachelor’s Degree from UC Berkeley in Rhetoric. Prior to joining the Law Office of Galine, Frye, Fitting & Frangos as an attorney, Mr. Frangos worked with the District Attorneys’ office in San Mateo and San Francisco appearing frequently in court to prosecute criminals, and practiced general civil litigation in the areas of real estate, contract disputes, and personal injury. When he is not practicing law or being active in his community, Mr. Frangos enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing and watching basketball, swimming, and listening to and playing music.
